My great-great grandfather, last name Swanson/Svenson, immigrated to the Karlstad, MN area around 1890. He was from the area of Ljungby, Sweden. He had 13 children including my great-grandmother Mathilda (1871-1944). She was one of three children who stayed in Sweden. She married Otto Swanson (same last name, no relation). My grandfather Carl Swanson came to the U. S. in 1923, settling in Chicago. In 1953, he visited some of his maternal Swanson cousins near Karlstad, Minnesota. Mathilda had a sister Anna who later lived in Chicago. A son-in-law may have been named John Cedarholm. Another daughter of this family stayed in Sweden and married a man by the name of Carlson. Their son Gunnar Carlson came to American and lived near Niles, Illinois. Gunnar had sons Sonny Carlson and Lenny Carlson. Can anyone help connect me to Karlstad, Kittson Co., MN relatives. Thanks
