Looking for family, descendents of Christian and Elsie (Bjerke) Olson.
Christian was born Jan. 1825 in Norway, Elsie was born June 1829 in Norway. They married Abt. 1853 in Norway. They came to the U.S. abt. 1854, first to Racine, WI then to Hay Creek Twnshp abt. 1860. They had 9 children.
Christina born abt. 1854 in Norway, died age 10
Martin born 1855 in Wisconsin
Inga Anna born 1858 in Wisconsin
Lina born 1861 in Minnesota, she married Joseph Lee
Charles born 1864 in Minnesota
Oscar born Jan. 9, 1866 Minnesota, came to WI (Buffalo Co.)
married Julia Paulina Paulson, Oscar died July 1943.
Lewis born Jan. 1868 in Minnesota
Christina born 1871 in Minnesota
Anna born 1884 in Minnesota
One of the daughters married Rev. H.M.Hjertaas. They were in Buffalo, Co. between 1885-1894 when the Rev. served at the Evanger Lutheran Church there. They then moved back to Minnesota. When his (the Rev.) wife died, he married her sister.
Oscar was my husbands g-grandfather.
Any help to fill in this part of our family would be greatly appreciated.
