We are now searching Minnesota census records. One of my uncles claims that Fred Goudy came from Redwing, Minnesota.
Have found Fred Goudy on 1900 Census taken in Broadwater County, Winston Township,Montana. Age 48 born in Minnesota 10/71, father born in Ireland and
mother born in Canada/England. He was a Quartz miner.
Found a site for Winston(Placer)County Cemetary,Broadwater County, Montana. It states that there was a Fred Goudy Saloon in town and was one of the
first buildings.
Winston was originally Placer, which was moved when the railroad was built and renamed.
