David Bender b. 1802 OH (s/o Jacob & Catherine May Bender), m. Lydia Tawney 15 Apr 1828 Stark Co., OH. They had 11 known children: Charles Wesley, Catherine, Hiram A., Henry Adelbert, Martha Jane, John F., Violett, Jacob A., James M., William Emmett and Louisa. They moved to Fillmore County before 1853. Lydia d. 22 Dec 1853 in Fillmore County and probably is buried in Duff Cemetery. David remarried to Olive Hovey, widow of Russell Rexford, on 4 Dec 1856 in Fillmore County. David and some of his children later moved on to Nebraska, but Olive remained in MN.
