Lucille Peart Anderson, 83

Lucille “Sally” Eleanor Anderson died on her husband Herman’s birthday, Monday, April 17, 2006 at Knute Nelson Memorial Home at age 83.
Lucille was born April 27, 1922 to Thomas and Mae (Bebo) Peart in Osakis. She graduated from Central High School in Alexandria. Sally married Herman (Bing) Anderson on August 27, 1941 in Alexandria. She worked at the Douglas County Hospital as an accredited medical records technician for many years and retired in 1984.
After the death of her husband, Sally retired and moved to Tucson, AZ for 11 years until 1995 when she moved back to Minnesota. She had lived for the past four years at Knute Nelson. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed bridge, Bible study and crocheting. She loved to go camping with her husband around Minnesota and especially at Carlos State Park.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Anderson and partner Kathy Itzin of Minneapolis; sons, Brad Anderson of Beatty, NV, Craig and Rebecca Anderson of Alexandria, Tim and Laura Anderson of Steamboat Springs, CO; son-in-law, Dallas (Mary) Flynn of Detroit Lakes; daughter-in-law, Kathy Anderson of Maple Grove; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ida Zimara of Alexandria; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Anderson; daughter, Devona Flynn; son, Neil Anderson; four sisters and one brother.
A Funeral Mass was held April 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Al Ludwig officiating. Austin Anderson was the flutist. Interment was at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Casket bearers were her grandchildren, Lisa Taggert, Michelle Douvier, Tim Anderson-Itzin, Greg Anderson, Anthony Anderson and Austin Anderson.
