Me again, Taryn...

Just thought I give you a little more info on this family...

Knud's mother, Anne Marie Nilsdatter, married a Hans Olsen (osnesset) born 1834...Hans left the family and came to US...first North Dakota..then according to family lore, went to Canada..where.. no one remembers.

Ann Marie and Hans Olsen had a son, Ole Hanson, who came to Bradley, SD and went by the name of Ole Nass. My GF (son of her dtr Nikoline)also settled in the Bradley SD area in 1901.

Anne Marie and youngest son, Gunder, came to the SD to stay with son Ole Nass and according to the emigration record..."to look for husband (Hans)". Both went back to Norway. Anne Marie died in 1912. I went to Norway back in the early 70's. While there I took a picture of her tombstone which read Anne Marie Stener.

I never knew about GF talked alot about his relatives but I don't remember him mentioning this Knud, though I believe the picture I have of Knud was in my GF's house. I live in Michigan and my GF lived in SD so we so saw each other once a year or was only when I started documenting family history that I've come across some new names. Both my GF (o US in 1901) and GM (to US in 1903)came from the Osen (Amot) area in I've had fun with those patronymic names.

I certainly appreciate all the time and effort you spent on my request. You must like a "good" mystery as much as I do....

Thanks again...Marge
