This is wonderful! I was going nowhere on my grandma's family, {Birdie}, and I emailed a very nice lady from Brainerd, who seemed to have a lot of knowledge of cemeteries in the area. She WENT to Evergreen, and found names and dates for me. She put me in contact with the Historical Society, and a very nice lady there, sent me an autobiography, written by Albert Backen, their father in 1937. I was only 14 when we moved from Brainerd, and I only remember Daisy,what an interesting lady, and Grandma, of course. I will ask my mother who stabbed my dad with a fork, it wasn't me. It has been a year of losses for us. My dad, DeWayne died in Jan., Daisy died in Feb., and Donald, dad's brother died in March. I would be interested in anything you would be willing to share. I found out that Albert's mother and siblings came "over" from Norway, while she was pregnant with Albert. Please contact me.
