Dear Sandy,

Thanks so much for the info! Could you tell me a little bit about the area and or history? Have you been there? I always find it fascinating to hear about the areas my ancestors settled in. My grandmother Matilda Peterson married a Hogan after Peter died they moved to Deerwood, Crow Wing County. She was very active in the Deerwood Luthern Ladies Aid Soxiety according to her Obiturary.

My Grandmother Matilda came from Sweden in 1992. In her obits. It is stated that my out of the union with Peter Peterson was born to them Elsie and Cicilia. We know this is not true as I have all the data from Sweden and they were born to Matilda Holberg. There names were Elsa Lovisa Holmberg and Signe Cicilia Holmberg. Born in a poor house for unwed mothers.

So Peter may have adopted the girls or they just simply took his names.

I just new of Grandpa Peter Peterson. I was hoping to get some information from his grave and Land Probate to start researching some more about the adoption if there was one.

if you could find a Grave stone and get a picture for me, I would be so greatful. I would be happy to pay expenses.

Have a great Day. I,m so glad to meet someone with a sense of humor, my kind of gal friend.

Sincerely,
Sandy Peterson Thompson
