Oak Hill Cemetery is alive and well. Sorry if I sound amused but I live here and lived "in" Ft Ripley for 27 years. Ft Ripley is a small town of a combination gas station/grocery store/post office combination, bar/restaurant combination and a handfull of houses. I think the absorbtion you may be thinking of is Camp Ripley the National Guard Military camp on the other side of the Mississippi River. (There is at least one cemetery there which has been carefully preserved.) Anyway Oak Hill Cemetery is a small cemetery in the country that is in Ft Ripley postal area thus the reference to Ft Ripley. There is no office as it is very small. The Crow Wing County Historical Society in Brainerd does have all headstones transcribed in a book done in 1979. I have not seen the cemetery personally but I know most cemeteries around here are very well cared for. I may be able to go out and get pictures for you this week. Let me know.
Location is: East on Crow Wing Lake road (County Road 131) off from Hwy 371. Go 1 mile turn right on gravel road and go .2 mile. Cemetery on north hillside.
