Union Lutheran church = Salem Church Hitterdal??

I'm wondering if someone can tell me if the Salem church in Hitterdal was formerly known as the Union Lutheran Church?? If they are not one in the same, can someone tell me if the Union Lutheran church still exists? Or if the Conference Lutheran church is one and the same?? I'm reading through old family records, which lists my ancestors as being founder's of what is sometimes listed as the Union church, and other times the Conference church. HELP please!!
