I looked up Earl Rush wife Mary in the Earl Leaf book the non swedes of 19th century chisago county written in 2003
He says mary is the daughter of frederick and Mary Christina Boetger Reed a widow, they were married about 1894-5 she was born in 1862and died in 1925 Mary and fred were children from marys previous marriage, which means she is really a reed and not a drews. Emma was from Freds previous marriage.
his first wife was elizabeth.
I have no idea where they are from, Mary is born in minnesota about 1887, so you might find them in the 1895 and 1900 census, I will look and see what I find.
