Henry Harrison Bush (b. 1819 Fulton County, IL) married Sarah D. Baldwin (b. 1834)- I've yet to get further information on Henry and Sarah at this time.
Anyway, Sarah Baldwin Bush's mother was Catherine Unknown Baldwin and her father was Cyrus Baldwin. In 1850 (per Grant County Census) Cyrus and Catherine were living in Grant County, WI. His age is listed as 55 (then being b. 1795) and Catherine's age is listed as 44 (then being b. 1806). Their Baldwin children living with them at the time were Adeline Baldwin, Lucinda C. Baldwin, William A. Baldwin, and Margaret Baldwin. (Also living with them in 1850 were their daughter Christina Baldwin Hanible, her husband Ebner Hanible, and their daughter Elizabeth.)
In 1863 David Lovejoy, at the age of 62, married a Catherine Baldwin. The 1880 Chisago Census lists David and Catherine living in Amador with son and daughter-in-law Cyrus, age 22 (then being b. in 1858), and Katie, age 15 (then being b. in 1865) Logan.
It's my assumption Catherine's husband, Cyrus, died prior to 1863 and that particular Catherine is the Catherine that married David Lovejoy of Amador Township, Chisago.
My reasoning is that Catherine Baldwin Lovejoy was listed as 74 in the 1880 Chisago Census thus putting her birth year at 1806 - the same year as the Catherine that married Cyrus Baldwin.
The only men that are belived (not yet proven) to be sons of David Lovejoy are James and Leander Lovejoy. No Cyrus is known or believed to be the son of David Lovejoy.
It is therefore believed Cyrus was Catherine Baldwin Lovejoy's son by Cyrus Baldwn.
If anyone could help me substantiate this - one way or another - I would be very appreciative.
