I don't have his birthdate yet, but his sister Ingrid was born and died in Sodermanland, Sweden.
In the USA He only used the name August Reed (Died Chisago,MN--Fish Lake Cemetery), but some new unproven info may lead to his full given name being Nels Peter(Per)August Magnusson. Ingrid's (b. 1858) birth surname was Magnudotter or Magnusdotter.
Other siblings were Carl (Charles), Frans (Frank), and Johanna.
All but Ingrid emigrated to the Chisago County area.
It has been told that they were all orphaned at early ages, and farmed out to other families in Sweden.
