We do have some family history from a book made by Marion Plath Peterson. Barney B. and Abigail (Reed or Reid) Abigail was born 28 August 1812 in Massachusetts. She died 23 September 1886 in Sunrise, Chisago County, Minnesota. She is buried in Sunrise, Minnesota. Her parents were Daniel and Prudence (Shepard) Reed.

"Mr. Reed's paternal grandfather was a sea captain and an artist. His father, Daniel Reed, was born in Connecticut. His mother's maiden name was Pridence Shephard. They removed to the town of Glen, Montgomery County, New York, where Mr. Reed was born, October 1829. The family came to this town about 1838, where Mr. Reed has resided most of the time since. He has been engaged for many years in the boot and shoe and leather trade in Springville, Erie, New York. He was married in 1849 to Mary Jane Hicks. They have three children: Edward T., Ida L. and John J."

On Page 95 we have a reference of Frederick Henry Clover born 25 June 1876 in Sunrise, Chisago County, Minnesota died 27 May 1924 Montana married Agnes "Pearl" Boyce born 23 July 1875 died 15 June 1943 Montana. Fred was a rancher in Montana. He traded horses and served as the lay veternarian. Pearl was a musician, she played piano, organ and the jews harp. They were members of the Methodist Church.
On Page 98 we have a reference of Prudence Reed Clover born 28 May 1884 in Sunrise Minnesota died 27 April 1942 Sunrise, Minnesota and buried there married Silas Franklyn Boyce, Jr. 29 June 1905 in Sunrise, Minnesota. Silas Franklyn Jr. was born 8 December 1880 in Sunrise, Minnesota and died 3 June 1927 in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. Silas and Prudence farmed at Sunrise, Minnesota. He played the fiddle and Prudence enjoyed reading and playing cards. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors. She was a gentle, good-natured person with a sense of humor. She and Silas were my husband's grandmother and grandfather.
