At an inquest of 22 Aug 1893 it was determined that Johanna Hall died of poison, and the perpatrator may have been Carloline Hall, who was either a sister-in-law or daughter-in-law. The poison was strychnine. (Coroner's Inquest Report at Minnesota History Center, St. Paul)

Charles, Frank and Evert Hall are all listed as living in Lindstrom in 1895, and all were designated as carpenters. Charles, apparently the father, was 69 and had spent 27 years in Lindstrom--since 1868. Frank William was 28 and Evert Esaias was 22. Carl Magnus' obituary was found in The Svenska Tribunen of 13 Aug 1914. It stated that Carl was from Furuby, Kronobergs lšn, emigrated in 1868, and died at the age of 88 in august of 1914. (1895 Minnesota Census, The Svenska Tribunen)
