I am looking for info on my Grandfather, George Smiglewski who as born April 12, 1885. I know he died on May 23, 1940 in Cass County. I know at one time that their was a hospital of some sort that patients with consumption (tuberculosis) where hospitalized at. His death certificate has Cass County. However he was buried at Gilman MN. George was married to a Frances Witucki from Silverlake MN. They had seven children. My father was Leonard V. the oldest. They lived in Minneapolis, moved to Benton County in 1923. I know also that a Walter & Victoria Smiglewski lived in the same area. They are buried at the Evergreen Cementary, Walker. If anyone has any info on the state or private hospital around the 1935-1940 time or anything that might help me in finding my ancestors.
