I am trying to find information about my Grandfather, Phil Provo.Around 1891 he worked at The Barkley Lumber Ranch. He had a friend, Fred Ellis. Fred was married to Mame Vagwin who was from Leech Lake. My Grand father died in Walker in 1930.Ruby Provo, his oldest daughter was my mother. I believe that my mother was born around the Woman Lake area but can't find any birth record. I am hoping that there are some family stories in the Ellis family that may help or give me a direction.
