Thank you for responding to my inquiry on John Enos. My interest in this Civil War veteran is because of his having lived in Worth County, IA either before or after the Rebellion. It is possible that he had enlisted in A Company of the Wisconsin 2nd Infantry 22 May 1861 and discharged on a disability 26 May 1862. On 4 Jul 1863 he married Mary Ann White in Freeborn, MN. Then 15 Oct 1864 he enlisted from Worth County, IA in F Company of the 7th IA Cavalry and later transferred to Co F, 7th IA Cavalry Reorganized. Reportedly John Enos was born in Portugal.

While any details of this man's life and his family would be most welcome, I am really interested in his birthplace, parents, emigration to the US and if the family had lived in Wisconsin.

Violet
