It has recently come to my attention that Robert and Elizabeth Whitehoak appear in the 1860 census for the Village of Princeton, Benton County, Mn. He is listed as a carpenter/farmer I believe this Robert Whitehoak is the brother of my great grandfather, John Whiteoak.

Robert is said to have come to Minnesota in 1856, stayed for a few years, then returned to Canada, only to come back to Minnesota around 1866 to settle in Sherburne County by Elk River. if anyone has any information on this Robert Whitehoak/Whiteoak, please let me know.

Rich Whiteoak
