A grandson [Edward Leo Jewett] of Napoleon Cote wrote a little history about his life, in which he tells of his grandfather's family. There were also a couple of sisters Lenore and Elsie.

Napoleon was born in 1841 and came to Minnesota in 1863. He married Mary Dion (Young), daughter of Marcel Dion (Young, Gayon, Guyon) and Marguerite Bolduc. Napoleon and Mary didn't have any children of their own, so the grandson was that of his adopted daughter, Annie Shaw, whose mother died when she was a baby.

Charles Cote had a son named Peter who was living in Bemidji, Minnesota during the early 1900s.

According to this history, these Cote siblings were somehow related to Marcel Dion, Marguerite Bolduc's first husband. Marcel Dion, Antoine Cote and Napoleon Cote all lived in Polk County, MN during the second part of the 1800s.
