Hello Ann! My name is Missy Miser and I have just recently began researching my family tree. I have discovered that your great aunt married Amos Wilbur Foy Mizer born Sept 22, 1886 and they resided in Cleveland, OH. Your Uncle Mizer's father was also named Amos. He was born in 1845 to Daniel Mizer and POlly Hummel near Bakersville, OH. Amos Mizer died November 23, 1915 in Carroll County, OH. Amos was married Sept 22, 1870 to Cordelia Worley. Amos David Mizer served as a private in Company 1, 54, B.V.1;3rd Brigade; 2nd Div;4th A.C. Amos, at the end of the war started work as a wood turner in a furniture company. He joined the Methodist Episcopal Church in Melvern in 1872. Your Uncle Foy had brothers and sisters: Abby Louetta b. 10-17-1871, Ogie Ross b.01-31-1874, Herbert Hudson b. 03-10-1876, John Van, Jettie Viola, Daniel Crestes, and Harry Owen. Your Uncle Foy's grt.grandfather was named "Big Jake" Jacob Mizer. He was seven feet tall and it was said he had the strength of four men and could outrun an Indian. I will send you photo when I get a scanner in a week or so. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
