Looking for parents of Candacey (Candazie, Cancada) b. about 1848/1857 supposedly in Mountain Home, Baxter, Arkansas. She married Thomas Henry Ross about 1869 in Mountain Home. They had only one child, Augusta Ellen Ross b. 29 July 1870 in Mountain Home.
Family rumor has it that Candacey was orphaned and went to live with the Joshua Ross family and later married their son. Does anyone have any information on this Mizell family? Supposedly her parents were both from Missouri (1930 census for Poteau, LeFlore, Oklahoma, living with grandaughter Vesta Hesy.
