Adam Mitts was a colonial soldier who fought in the Dunmore War in Virginia. His Captain was James Parsons. He was in the same regiment with his father-in-law, Harmonius Alkire, Elizabeth's father. Harmonius was a lst Lut. E-mail me and I can tell you where to look. The DAR does not have his name. How are you related to Adam Mitts. My grandmother was a Mitts. We are from the Jacob Mitts line.
