Minnie Lee (HALL, NICHOLDS) + Charles MITCHELL (?)
Posted by: Sharon (Nicholds) Martin (ID *****4783) Date: March 08, 2012 at 07:07:04
  of 16226

The 1900 Census, Upshur County, TX lists a Charles MITCHELL with spouse "Millie" (should this have been "Minnie" ?) The spouse is the same age as the Minnie Lee HALL (AR) who married John NICHOLDS in 1891, Kingsland, Cleveland County, AR. They migrated to the vicinity of Troup, TX. The names and ages are the same as those of Minnie and John: William Herman, Horace Lee, Berta, Martha Delia. Did Minnie divorce John and marry Charles MITCHELL? Is this the sam spouse that died 1900-1901, presumably as a result of child-birth complications (infant Loran ?).

1900 Census, Upshur County, TX
Justice Precinct No. 1, Location 380 (lines 40-45)
Charles MITCHELL, born Jan. 1857 MO - Farmer

1910 Census, Cherokee County, TX:

Horace living with O. C. MARTIN (uncle)
Bertha living with Martha HALL (grandmother)
Martha "Mattie" living with Martha HALL (grandmother)

1920 Census, Cherokee County, TX:
Martha living with G. L. MARTIN (uncle)
