Misner, Calvin Edward Misner of Brooks, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary Alberta at the age of 51 years. Cal was born August 9, 1950 at Rimbey, Alberta to Victor and Edna Misner. He received his education at Meadowvale and Rimbey. After spending time in the Navy, Cal lived and worked in many areas of Canada. At the age of 25 Cal was diagnosed with kidney disease and received his first kidney transplant. His brother, Ron, donated teh kidney. Thirteen years later, Cal had a second kidney transplant and at the time of his passing was looking forward to a third kidney transplant. In 1982 Cal married Kim Lehmann of Portland, Oregon. They had three children and made their home in both Canada and Portland. Cal enjoyed children, had a keen interest in photography, and seldom backed away from a good argument. There was always a special place in his heart for his pets. Calvin was predeceased by his mother, Edna in 1992, and his sister, Elaine in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Kim and three children, Jeffrey, Sara and Sean all of Portland, Oregon; father, Victor of Rimbey; four brothers, Marvin(Trudy) of Rimbey, Bob(Donna) of Rocky Mountain House, Ron(Delores) of Eckville, and Steven(Toni)Lehman of Portland; two sisters-in-law, Susan(Ben)Johnson and Patricia(Evan) Johnson of Portland and his father-in-law, John Lehmann of Portland; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral service was held from teh Leedale Community Hall on Friday, March 1, 2002 at 2p.m with Mr. Lorne Bateman officiating. Interment followed in the Bradshaw Cemetery.
