I really wish I could help with this one, but I have no idea who the parents of your Mizener siblings could be. I suspect that this may be a connected family, arriving in North America later than Richard Misener and wife Elizabeth ( grandparents of **Nicholas ). Were these siblings born in Quebec? New Jersey? If the latter, they could still be descendants of Richard....He had three sons, Nicholas, Adam ( father of above **Nicholas)and Henry. I have very little on the descendants of son Nicholas and not a great deal on Henry's descendants, only one son, Leonard is listed...his desc. used the spelling Muisener....go figure.

Should I find anything at all on the St. Armand/Bolton Mizeners, I will notify you asap. Would appreciate your doing the same.....

Incidentally, if you are interested, the following is in the notes I have for Richard Misener, immigrant ancestor:

"The surname Misener, like many surnames, has been through a number of changes in spelling over the years. The early form was Meisener, but later appeared as Mizener, Mizner, Muisiner, Misener and Misner. The family originally lived in Southern Germany, in that portion known as the Palitintate (Ger Pflaz), and in all probability were farmers by occupation. During the early part of the 18th century, they, like many others of that part of Germany, found it difficult to remain in the homeland because of the terrible devastations that had been perpetrated by the French, so took their belongings down the Rhine to Holland, and at a later date departed for America. While the name first appears occasionally in colonial records as early as the middle of the 17th century, the family as we know it first took up residence in New Jersey about 1720. Just where is not known, but about 1740 the Germans began to settle in what is now Andover township in Sussex county and the Miseners were among them. - Ray Sells Morrish

The information set here has been handed down through generations of remarkable record keeping by the Misener family. This year, they will have the 98th family reunion which always brings more information. One of the noted record keepers was a Dr. Ray Sells Morrish, who compiled, in 1935, a booklet, "A collection of Notes Pertaining to the History of the Misener Family". A notation at the bottom of the flysheet reads ' The original document prepared in Flint, Michigan in 1935". This restored copy with a few additions was completed by Pat & Ted Baker of Burlington Ontario and Donna Kemp of Brantford, Ontario in December, 1993. Since then, many others have added their personal pieces of family history. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on more information that allowed me to pick up from William Misener and Abigail Flagg. The original copy ended with just William. No one, apart from my mother-in-law, seemed to know who he married or who his children were. My mother-in-law, Cora Misener Lambert, had the records packed away in her home. I found them quite by accident when the family farm was sold and I had access to old photos and papers. Margaret Lambert"
