Judith...re the research of Karl Mizener...Nicholas and Jane MCCLAIN did have four children before leaving New Jersey....the remainder however, are not the children you have posted here. In order, Nicholas and Jane had the following:
1). Richard, b. Feb 20 1786, NJ, d. July 17, 1867, St. Thomas, Ontario...married Hannah Cozart...
2). Margaret, b. Nov 20 1788, NJ, d. May 15, 1874, Welland Co., Ontario...married Adam Young. (Margaret married a neighbour boy and lived on a farm along Chippewa Creek, a short distance from her parents home. incidentally, also a short distance from my husband, James Misener Lambert's boyhood home)Lambert is adoptive name.
3). Peter, b. Dec 1 1790, NJ, d. Jan 6 1877, Troy Ontario, married Mary Smith
4). Sarah, b. March 16 1793, NJ, d. May 3, 1889, Frome, Elgin Co., Ontario..married Hugh Sharon
5). Andrew, b. Dec 5 1795, Crowland Twp, Welland Co., ON..d. Aug 30 1876, Crowland Twp., Welland Co., Ontario
6). Adam, b. Feb 20 1798, Crowland Twp..ditto...d. SEpt 2 1901, Troy Ontario...married first, Mary Miller, second, Helen Coleman ( This is the "old Uncle Adam, from whom much of the Misener history came from..remarkable records, diaries, census and tax listings, land records, deeds and wills...etc)
7). Nicholas, b. 18 Oct 1801, Crowland Twp.,..ditto...d. 4 Sept 1881, Townsend, Norfolk Co., Ontario...married Elizabeth Dell
8). Conrad, b. 4 Oct 1803, Crowland Twp., ...ditto.., d. Oct 22 1882, Troy, Ontario...married Elizabeth Dunstan Wells
(Moved to Troy, where his brothers Peter and Adam lived. Here he conducted a farm and remained the balance of his life. It is Conrad's house on display at the Pioneer village at Rockton, Ontario. Many of the items in the house were donated by family members, including Cora Violet Misener Lambert, daughter of William Misener and Ella Wells. Conrad bought 100 acres of land from a Frenchman, donated two acres of land for a church and burying ground and is buried in this cemetery on his own farm. It is Conrad's house on display at the pioneer village near Rockton, Ontario. Cora Misener was biological aunt and adoptive mother to my husband, James Misener Lambert.)
9). Elizabeth, b. Aug 14 1805, Crowland Twp...ditto...d. Jan 14 1897....married Phillip Bender
10). Mary, b. June 14 1808, Crowland twp...ditto...d. March 18 1834, Crowland Twp. Unmarried
11). John McClain Misner, b. Nov 14 1810, Crowland Twp,..ditto...d. 30 Oct 1899, Crowland Twp...married Jane Davis
12). William, b. 5 Oct 1812, Crowland Twp...ditto...d. 14 Feb 1896, Crowland Twp...married Anna Dell ( this is my husband's grgrgrandfather...)

The Misener reunion in Ontario was held this year in Wellandport, where it has been for some time now.

I would be very interested to see exactly what information you have on the desc. of Nicholas and Jane...and in particular, Christopher..How does Karl Mizner connect to this family? And where did he find the children you name as those of Nicholas and Jane?

Look forward to hearing from you,

Margaret Lambert
