George Minty and Isabella Milne are my 4G grandparents through their son William. Another Scottish researcher is a descendent of their son George. These children and others were baptised in the parish of Fyvie, Aberdeenshire.

I've come across John Minty and Margaret Lawrie in my research and noted from John's 1871 death certificate that his parents were "George Minty crofter in King Edward and Isabella Minty, ms Milne".

In the albeit scant material I have on my George and Isabella and their descendents, no mention is made of King Edward. I'd be interested in what the researcher you mention found out about the Kind Edward couple and if the person found any links with Fyvie.
Regards
Duncan
