William Minteer and daughter Sophia

Does any one have any information on a William Minteer, born in Ohio about 1832 who married Martha McDuffy in Washington Teritory about 1877. He is listed in the 1875 Washington, Thurston County Census. They had a daughter Sophia August 12, 1878. I believe Martha died first, then William , both prior to 1883. The 1883 census lists Sophia as an adopted daughter of Nathaniel and Isabell Mills who were Oregon Trail Pioneers. Sophia died of Consumption December 18, 1894 at age 16 and is buried in Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester, Wahington.

I can't connect this family with my Ohio Minteer's. A person descended from the Mills family has contacted me and asked for help.
F.M.
