Folks, I am a descendant of the Peter Montigue/Mary Minor family.Now I know that Peter's sister, Elizabeth Montigue m. Doodes Minor. The info. the Montigues have on John Minor is nill. I was walking through the Clarksville, Tn genealogy library when I came upon an old family book of the Minor family above.Now I'm not sure if their connected to the Doodes Minor family? There was another book there by a man(Lumpkin) and he was telling of his relation in???North or South Carolina,Mississippi??maybe. And they were related to the Doodes Minors. I can't say the two families are related. It just says: John Minor-of Virginia. Born and lived in the 18th century. No authentic data. Then John Minor, Jr. m. Elizabeth Snead November 27, 1817 in Lunenburg, Virginia. Doesn't say where buried. But it has Elizabeth Snead buried 1883, Lone Oak Community, Montgomery County, TN. There is a Minor Cemetary at Martha's Chapel(Church). They may be buried there. I'll have to check that out. It says their children were: All born in Virginia. Jane, Julia A. Eleanor, Louisa Euphrasia b. April 5,1827 and William Henery b.June 10, 1829. William Henery m. Sara Elizabeth Wyatt.(Mont.County,TN. It goes on to tell their children. Anyone know anything about this group?
