Johannes Minne (Johannes) arrived with his parents from Friesland, married Aneken Jochems van Weert (Annatje Jochens or Jans) on June 4, 1693 ("Johannes Minne, j.m., Uyt tweed op Fredrich Philplant den 4 jun. Op Philpburg")On June 19, 1694 he purchased the DeHarte patent, encompasing the area surrounding Haverstraw, becoming the first owner of the land to actually live there. Sold one quarter of the patent to his brother Albert. According to court papers. he died prior to May 26, 1696 when letters of administration were granted to his widow by Governor Benjamin Fletcher.
