Laurie,
In the 1850 census of Liberty township., Wabash county Indiana, list John Minnear age 52 born in Virginia, with children James 18 born OHIO, Isaac 14 born OHIO, Maria 13 born INdiana and William 10 born INdiana.
Also in the 1870 census for the same township and county, John is living with James and his family.
In the Minnear cemetery, the John buried there died in 1873 at the age of 75. That would make him born in 1798.
Carlyn is also buried there. James is a son of John Minnear born 1798 Virginia.
