Hi Ruth, The Smith family moved from Jefferson Township,Boone County, Arkansas around 1901-1905 to Banty, Bryan/ Caddo County, OK and were there when the Indian Territories became Oklahoma state in late 1906. They stayed in that area until around 1929 when they moved to Hollis, (Greer/Harmon County) Oklahoma. They remained in Hollis (Harmon county) area until 1949 when the family moved to Bakersfield/Mojave (Kern County) California where they remain today. William Newton Sorrels, Mary Jane Sorrels, Anna Marie Smith, Thomas Andrew Smith (GW's father) and some of the Price family ( are buried at Dryden Cemetery (about 8 miles east of Hollis), Hollis, Oklahoma. Hope this helps. Ed
