You are correct that Woodson Miner died c1856, when your Elizabeth would've only been a year old; Woodson's wife Sarah was apparently pregnant when he died, as their last child Mary Ellen was born in 1857 following Woodson's death.
I don't have a death date for Woodson's widow Sarah (Cox) Miner, but she was still living in 1860, when she was enumerated in Reynolds Co., MO as Sarah "Minor" -- with 5-year-old Elizabeth in her household. You mentioned that Mary and her sister Nancy were living next door to each other in the 1860 Reynolds Co. census, but I don't show a child named Nancy for Woodson and Sarah. Are you sure you have the correct Minor girls, since Elizabeth's listed in her mother's household in 1860? Could the Elizabeth and Nancy you found belong to another family?
If you definitely connect to Woodson Miner, please email me directly, as I can give you another 12 generations back on the Miner/Minor line.
