I am living in Phoenix Arizona, but I am the only Miner here. William Miner was my great grandpa. All of his children are either dead or very old.....What is your mom to Walter Miner (my grandpa).
I thought that most of them were from Michigan, or did Walter and some of his brothers move there?
As I stated before Walter moved somewhere in Washington near the Pugett sound, lived in Everett Washington and then relocated to Astoria Oregon. Astoria is where he grew old and most of his children made there home including my dad Walter Jr.
Most of the men were fisherman. Cancer runs in the family, but that may be due to where Walter Sr. raised his kids...next to some kind of industrial stuff. and now 3 of the 5 children are dead and all from cancer. Walter Jr and Blair the 2 youngest brothers are still alive.
The most famous member of the family would have to be Liz Miner as she is a soloist with the San Fransisco Ballet, and well known in the Ballet community. I moved to AZ to get away from the small town and turns of rain. Blair Miner still owns a fishing boat and is the captain of a drag fishing boat.
I've heard stories of guys who were bigtime into cars....and maybe a pro bowler in the family. I have also heard that Maddona is a cousin of ours somehow....Are you familiar with any of this?
