She was born in Hurst, Berkshire in 1834, the daughter of Samuel John Minchin & his wife, Martha Smith. The family originally ame from Binfield, Berkshire where I currently live. Sarah married William May of Sandford Mill, Berkshire on 29th April 1856 at the Trinity Church, Marylebone. They had five daughters before Sarah died in Hurst in 1863. The eldest, Martha Jane, is my Great great Grandmother.
