Hi Juliet, I think I can add to information you already have. According to "Burke's Irish Family Records" ( your library may have a reference copy) Gail Martin was correct re Richard Ernest. However he could not have been "of Greenhills" as Greenhills was sold by his father, the Rev. William Minchin under the "Encumbered Estates Act" Please Refer to my reply to Bryan Martin on Genforum. There was a Richard who was the youngest brother of The Rev. William. He was born 6th March 1800 and married Anne Grove. I have no record of any issue but he did die before his father, and appears unlikely to be your man. The marriage of The Rev William to Mary Anne Wright was his 2nd Marriage Do Try to get hold of "Burke's Irish Family Records as it has your entire family tree. Happy Hunting!...
