Thank you so VERY, VERY much. I did not have the information on Eliza McJunkin, so that's a bonus!

Through which of Tom's children do you descend?

John Robert Mince was my step-grandfather. My aunt on my mother's side married John R. Mince's son, Ralph I. Mince, and my uncle on my mother's side married a daughter of John R. Mince, sister to Ralph. I know it's confusing! So while I'm not blood kin, I am interested in the genealogy for my cousins' sakes.

I appreciate the information on Thomas Wesley Mince's military history. I have a copy of some of the muster rolls where he enlisted and then was missing, and I knew he was at Pea Patch Island as a prisoner. Some day I want to go there and see it.

It's late here (Virginia), and I have to get to bed to get ready for work tomorrow. I'll print what you sent, and I can't thank you enough for replying.

Please let me know how you connect!
