Interested in learning more about David Minatree, b-c1780, listed on 1820/1830 Dinwiddie, VA census; 1840 Warren, NC; and 1850 Giles Co., TN Census.
I believe this to be the same David Minatree via following the above census enumerations.
It is possible this David Minatree is the father of my Martha A. Minatree who m-William Colston c-1835, listed on 1840 Marshall Co., TN census with two children under the age of 5 years. They moved into Lincoln Co., TN 1850; Giles Co., TN 1860/1870 neighbors to the Minatree family. In 1880 William and Martha A. (Minatree) Colston were in Lincoln Co., TN, listed as retired Tailor. Their son, David Colston, had migrated to Ellis Co., TX by 1900 census.
Some members of the same Minatree family also moved to TX.
