The Minard families settle in Sparta, Elgin County, Ontario. I am a descendent of David Minard, born in New York. Sparta is a Quaker settlement near Yarmouth. The Minard's seem to come from Ulster County. David Minard and Samuel Minard settled in the Sparta area. There was at least one other family. I am still trying to get records from the Church of Friends.
