I have in my family tree that Benjamin Franklin, son of Joseph, served with Sam Houston in the Battle of San Jacinto...Joseph is part of "The Old Three Hundred," a list that Texans are very proud of. Joseph is the son of Samuel and Hannah. (the same Samuel who was murdered at Ft. Mims).....
