There are two Richard Mims in the 1800 Darlington County, SC census.
Ro11 #47
pg. 119
3 Males under 10, 2m 10-15 1m 16-25, 1m 45 &up;2f under 10
1 female 26-44
then on page 127:
1 male under 1, 1m 10-15 and 1m 45 &up. 1 female 10-15,
1 female 16-25
Both men are the same age, 45 or older, but the kids and older females are different ages, so I believe it is two different Richard Mims. I think researchers have combined the two Richards into one and assigned all the male Mims found in Darlington County, SC to one Richard, when in fact, some could be sons of the other Richard. But being able to tell who belongs to who maybe impossible.
