Can someone please shed some light on my gg grandmother? All I know is that she was born in or near 1850, she married Joseph Riley b.1833(have no info on him either except that I am told he was canadian)in Greene Co. Illinois on 11/11/1866. They had children named Harriett, Charles, Antonette and my ggrandfather Robert Jesse. I find them in the 1870 and 1880 census records but nothing before that. I was told by family that Louisa was a cherokee indian from TN on the trail of tears, but the census records show that she was born in Illinois and her mother was from TN. I would love to know who her parents were and where they came from, if she was indian or not, and where she is buried. Thanks for any help!
