Hi Elvira, cant really help you much.thornhill(thornhill edge)is in west yorkshire,between Huddersfield & Ossett(wakefield).the 1881 census and birth, marriage & death records have lots of Milnes in this area.registration area for Thornhill would probably be Dewsbury.hope this helps.Julie
