Hi Donna,
I've been searching for information on Benjamin and William Milnes who were in Schuylkill County, PA after 1829. I'm trying to sort out the children, one of whom was William Milnes, Jr. At the moment I'm thinking that Wm Jr. was son of Ben and used Jr. to distinguish him from the other William who was probably his uncle. They were all in the iron and coal industry and very successful. Wm Jr. moves to Shenandoah Iron Works District, VA just after the Civil War and becomes prominent citizen there and is buried there.
Can you offer me any help in determining who William Jr.'s father was?
I have an 85 year old friend who is Wm Jr's g-grandaughter who wanted to know more about her family.
Thanks for your response.
