Can't find Samuel Yates will but do know Jesse had some money because, he bought his way out of war of 1812 and married a woman of standing Polly Hyder(Mary Elizabeth) (see Billy Millsaps letter).Jesse never used the Yates name -at all- and is buried in Crowder cemetery here in Monroe county Tn..Jane married a Yates(Samuel) __long__ after she had Jesse ,who she gave the Millsaps name.(Not Millsaps Yates)The Millsaps and Yates are- not- related as shown by recent dna testing,so don't know who Jesse's father was.The Millsaps here in Monroe county are mostly blue eyed with mousy light brown to blonde hair, tall of stature with milky white skin.www.strutton.org is a good family tree for Monroe county Millsaps. The best Ty Millsaps- p.s. Aunt Jane did apply for Sam Yates pension(for service in N.C. during Rev war). She applied for his pension in Cocke county Tn.
