U S Soldiers of the Civil War Residing in Michigan, June 1, 1894.
Under the Pine River Township paragraph:
Daniel MILLS.
Cyrus MILLS.
If this is the area in which your Cyrus lived?
Maybe check out cemeteries in the area around that little town, village, burg?
Check with their local historical or genealogy society, too, maybe some one has gone through and "Read" the grave stones, and recorded the inscriptions.
My cousins did all but a very few of the cemteries in the county of Miami in Ohio.In conjunction with the TroyHistorical society.
They published a booklet with all the listings in it.
This way back when, not sure but probably before 1999 - 2001.
But you probably been down that road already?. . . . .
Will keep looking to see what I can see.
Bottom line, and sort of last resort, if you can find a
male MILLS, present day desendant of your line of MILLS and do a DNA test,
see if matches up with others on the MILLS DNA Project,
1 web site that lists information is www.familytreedna.com under MILLS.
Can also compare markers with others on www.ysearch.org
for markers and by surname.
