Does anyone have info on a Claiborn/Clabourn/Claborn Mills who lived in Virginia prior to 1797? My ancestor Rev. Sol. Moses Mills(1747-1833) enlisted in the Rev.War from Halifax Co., VA, married 1787 in Charlotte Co., VA to Keronhappuck Rather, later lived in Elbert Co., GA and Fayette Co., GA. Moses named a daughter Martha Clabourn Mills, born 1 Oct 1797 in Elbert Co., GA. I am trying to determine the source of the name Clabourn in the Mills line. There was a Claiborn Mills who was a surety in 1814 in Lunenburg Co., VA. The parents of Moses Mills are unknown but Moses children were William, James and Martha Clabourn Mills, in that order. My email yonahdells@windstream.net
