Can call your attention to the many other postings about this couple.
1. William does not have a middle initial as "C".
2. Listed by some as son of Andrew MILLS and Mary TROTTER.
3. son of Benjamin MILLS and Elizabeth COLLIER.
4. William and Mary PLANT MILLS listed with children as
Andrew MILLS and Mary MASON MILLS.
5. Mary married John Oliver MCCASLIN, had at least 15 children.

Does any of this ring true with what family information you have?

Also DNA testing may have been done on branches of this MILLS family line??? Can check on www.familytreedna.com under MILLS, go to DNA results page, check haplo groups listed there.

Some do not agree about DNA testing, that is not proven enough as yet. I received a very scathing email re this family from a family researcher, was not very happy about it. I had posted information on one of their family pages, and noticed that it was removed, deleted, prior to 2 20 08.

However, many other MILLS families seem to come together by its results. At best, by area and locale, etc. And then proven by wills, estates, land records, birth, death, marriage, church records, etc. Military records, pension files, etc. Canada and United States.

Hope this may help a little bit.

All I can suggest is verify, your information, keep good documentation, copies, etc, at least you know your direct family line information is valid and correct.

Best to you in your future research.

Pat
