I saw a posting on ancestry.com message boards about a Lamar MILLS born ca 1870/80 died Ft Worth, Texas.spouse as Susie.

Could this family be connected to yours???
Listed a child Kenneth, and that Lamar had several children.
Do not know also if you checked out www.rootsweb.ancestry.com does have 23 data bases that has Lamar as part of their names under a search for Lamar MILLS. A few has Texas referenced.
Do not know if I bugged all on this thread about DNA testing, but over 100 have tested with posted results on www.familytreedna.com under MILLS. go to DNA results page, lists several haplo groups. Can click on those and possibly find a link that may have a TEXAS connection???
I do not work for anyone of them.
My brother volunteered to do a test for me, as my cousins and I felt we had about exhausted all avenues of research here in America, as far back as we could go. Did find 5 other branches of MILLS family, at least by DNA test.
Some paper trail have linked a couple of them. Still working on the rest.
Hope this may help further.
Also have you checked www.teafor2.com or www.tea4two.com has listed many of the cemeteries in Texas, many MILLS family members on it.
